Taylor Fladgate 1994 Vintage Port
$424.99
Deep crimson just beginning to display some maturity on the rim. The explosive fruitiness of early youth is now more restrained as the wine begins to settle into maturity but the nose is still driven by impressive focused blackberry and blackcurrant aromas set off by the classic Taylor scent of violets. Full bodied and well structured palate delivering rich blackberry and cassis flavours with spicy, figgy, liquorice flavours evolving on the long and sumptuous finish.

An exceptional wine. The color is a bright pale yellow. The floral nose is complex: white lilac, white rose. Once more open, the fruity aromas emerge, which evolve towards intense notes of hazelnut and toasted almond. For those who have reached maturity, the nose surprises with its power, after about fifteen minutes of aeration: white truffle, citron, honey, nutmeg respond with a singular elegance. On the palate, the wine has liveliness. We feel the richness but also the structure and a certain minerality. The wine has fat without ever being heavy, it gives a beautiful fullness on the finish. We find the complexity and elegance of a Bâtard-Montrachet, harmoniously combined with the fullness of a Corton-Charlemagne.

Croft 2011 Vintage Port

Deep purple black colour. The complex seductive nose has the archetypal Croft opulence but displays impressive depth, background and reserves of aroma. A rich, powerful fruitiness provides the backdrop for heady scents of blossom and rock rose. Luscious ripe berry fruit flavour surges though the palate. The wine’s velvety texture is underpinned by taut, muscular, perfectly integrated tannins which provide stamina with an attractive firmness and vigour to the finish. More virile and structured than some recent Vintages from this classic house, the 2011 nevertheless displays all the rich ripe fruitiness and exotic scented character associated with the Croft house style.

Dark crimson with ruby hues. Intensely fragrant aromas of blackberry, Satsuma plum and blueberry are beautifully entwined with freshly crushed violets, anise and exotic five spice. The palate is plush and velvety with decadent layers of mulberry, dark red plum and redcurrant, revealing lingering notes of spice and pepper. The concentrated fruit core is balanced by fine, mature tannins leading to an elegant finish with exceptional length.
Drouhin 2017 Chablis Gc Vaudesir
$134.99
A rare wine, which is enjoyed on its own, as an aperitif. The color is of a crystalline purity, barely tinged with green. The nose reveals fresh aromas of flowers and fruits (lemon notes) with sometimes spicy notes of coriander. On the palate, an aromatic harmony that has elegance and character. The breadth of the Grand Cru and the iodized notes of the Kimmeridgian pebble. A remarkable persistence, long and complex.
