Indie Xisto blends Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca, Tinta Amarela, Tinta Barroca, Rufete, from a sustainably farmed, blue schist soiled single vineyard in Alijó, planted since 1950 and at 580 meters elevation. This was native fermented, whole cluster in lagares with 10 days of maceration before resting 18 months in 500ml French oak barrels.
The fruit is fresh and bright, with the oak adding more to the texture than the aromas. A subtle purple flower note adds to the complexity of this beautiful red. Pair with stews, veggie lasagna, or potato based dishes.
