Coquard 2019 Fleurie

$36.99
The wine greets the nose with an enticing bouquet of fresh flowers, particularly violet and peony, characteristic of Fleurie wines. There are also subtle hints of red berries, such as ripe strawberries and raspberries, along with a touch of spice, perhaps reminiscent of white pepper or cinnamon. On the palate, Coquard Fleurie is light-bodied and elegant, with soft, silky tannin that provide structure without overwhelming the senses. The dominant flavors mirror the aromas, with bright red fruit notes taking center stage. Juicy raspberry, cherry, and cranberry flavors dance across the palate, accompanied by floral undertones that add depth and complexity. There's a refreshing acidity that balances the fruitiness, lending the wine a lively and refreshing character. The finish is smooth and lingering, leaving a subtle impression of red fruits and florals.
