Napa Valley, California
Screaming Eagle 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon
Arguably the original and most sought after cult wine of Napa Valley.
"The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon is stunning. A wine that is only now beginning to shed its tannin, the 2006 stands out for its vibrancy and energy. All of the classic Screaming Eagle notes are in the glass, but with a little more edge and cut than in most vintages. Sweet red berries, crushed rocks, flowers and spice box are alive in the glass. Over time, hints of sage, mint rosemary and pencil shavings add complexity. The 2006 is a decidedly cool-weather wine with less opulence than either the 2007 or 2009, but it is absolutely singing today. Another few years will only help the wine come together even more fully, but it is impossible to miss the 2006 is utterly breathtaking beauty. -98 points" Robert Parker
Mondavi 2017 Continuum
Mondavi 2014 Continuum
Winemaker's note on their 10th Continuum release! This wine, while having beautiful vibrancy and richness of body, is more approachable than the well-regarded 2013 vintage. A dense purple robe and vibrant violet rim lead to aromas of cassis, cardamom, espresso and graphite. 2014 shows purity of site and fruit; a core of black plum and cherry, intertwined with layers of exotic spice, heightened by ripe, polished tannins, natural vibrancy and a long silky finish. This vintage reveals the harmonious balance of fruit, site and season from our Sage Mountain Vineyard at Continuum Estate. It has all the body and age worthiness to carry forward for decades to come. Very expressive already, 2014 Continuum is an estate blend.
Blend: 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc, 15% Petit Verdot, and 5% Merlot
