Fatalone
The Petrera family planted just eight hectares of Primitivo vines on the Spinomarino hill, around 40km inland from Bari, some 200 years ago. The Fatalone vineyards are certified organic and the estate is one of the very first wineries, not just of Puglia but of Italy as a whole, to be certified 100% sustainable and with zero carbon footprint.

This wonderfully balanced and mature, authentic primitivo boasts great intensity of tobacco spice, sweet blackberries, chewy tannins and gentle oak underpinned by energetic acidity rarely seen in wines from this part of the world.
In the 7th Edition of the the World Atlas of Wine (Jancis Robinson & Hugh Johnson) Fatalone’s Primitivo Riserva is listed as one of the top 4 wines from Southern Italy and the most notable winery of the DOC Gioia del Colle.
