Intense aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherry and raspberry, accompanied by floral notes of violet and a touch of spice, slight black pepper or cloves. There’s also a subtle flintiness reminiscent of the schist soils where the vines are grown.
On the palate, this wine is medium to full-bodied, with smooth tannin and bright acidity. The fruit flavors from the nose carry through, with additional layers of complexity including hints of cocoa and dried herbs. The wine has a long, satisfying finish. Reminiscent of Cab Franc with Nebbiolo structure and tannin.
