TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Introduction

Please read Terms & Conditions before using this Site.  By using this site, Users indicate their agreement to Terms & Conditions and you represent/warrant that you are at least the Age of Majority in your Province.  If the User does not agree to Terms & Conditions contained, the User may not access or use this Webstore.  All prices displayed on this site are quoted in Canadian dollars.

Delivery – Proof of Legal Age

Shipping options are within British Columbia only.  Packages are shipped via Canada Post or private courier, and require ‘Age Verification’ upon delivery by the Purchaser (Receiver must be of Legal Drinking age).

Shipping Time

All orders will be processed for delivery within 3 business days of a confirmed ‘Purchase Order’.  Delivery timeframes are dependent on Canada Post or courier, and we cannot guarantee deliveries by a certain date. The signer of the package must be of the legal drinking age when receiving the shipment.

To ensure the integrity of our products, we may refrain from shipping during extreme weather conditions. In such cases, shipments will be held until conditions improve and it is safe to proceed.

Returns and Refunds

Liberty Wine Merchants will ONLY accept the return of bottles ON-SITE AT A RETAIL LOCATION, PROVIDED the bottle(s) are sealed, have not been tampered with and there is no damage to the labels.  The original Sales Receipt must also be presented with the bottle being returned.

Defective bottles may be returned in-person at a Liberty Wine Merchants retail location. Note that we cannot accept returns on bottles over 10 years of age, as these are considered artifact wines and as such are FINAL SALE. We will not accept any returns by mail.

Order Acceptance, Amending Orders and Quantity Limits

Full payment is required at the time of purchase.  On occasion there may be a Sales Order that may have to be cancelled (or partially cancelled) due to inventory levels – items that are deemed “SOLD OUT”.    Liberty Wine Merchants will contact customers if all, or any portion of an order must be cancelled and confirm if the Buyer wishes to proceed with a partial order.

Provided your package has not shipped, every effort will be made to amend your Sales Order request.  Please email sales@libertywinemerchants.com.  If the order has already shipped, no adjustments can be made.

Store Pick-up

To pick-up an order, the purchaser must show a copy of their order confirmation and 2 pieces of valid Government identification. The identification MUST match the name of the purchaser, as entered in the online order form. Orders will be held at the store for a maximum of 2 weeks, after which they will be returned to our storage facility where they will be held until the customer requests that it be transferred to a store.

Note that you must be at least 19 years of age to purchase, or pick-up, an order. Under no circumstance will our staff release an order without satisfactory identification, or to an individual other than who is named in the online order form.

Cancelling your Order

Provided your order has not shipped, we can cancel your order and refund your card. Once your order has shipped it can no longer be refunded unless it is returned to the originating Liberty Wine Merchants Retail Store with the original Sales Receipt (See Refunds and Returns).

We reserve the right to cancel your order, completely or a portion of, due to issues such as inventory, etc.

Out of Stock Items

We have a constantly evolving inventory, and products will often sell out. However due to a standard lag time between online and offline inventory updates, a product may show ‘out-of-stock’ online but may be ‘in-stock’ at the store. Customers may wish to contact stores directly to determine current availability of certain products.

Payment

Stripe is used to process online orders. All major credit cards are accepted by the system.
