Taking the celebration of Southern France wine regions to the next level of culture, the Languedoc wine region is proud to be the presenting sponsor of Vancouver’s iconic Hollywood Theatre’s 75th Anniversary Celebration, taking place from Friday, October 22nd to Sunday, October 24th, 2010 in the heart of Kitsilano where it has built itself an enviable niche as Canada’s oldest independently-owned movie theatre. The three-day party will feature current blockbusters and cinema classics alike, all served up with the theatre’s established traditional flair alongside a delicious assortment of Languedoc wines. Catering for the big events is being done by C Restaurant (Friday night) and The New Bohemian Local Restaurant & Social Lounge (Saturday and Sunday nights), serving canapés specifically crafted to enhance the diverse flavours of the many wines from the Languedoc.
Languedoc and Pays d’Oc wines represent true hidden gems from the South of France. Ranging in style from sparkling whites and rosés to concentrated, velvety reds with plenty of whites and reds in between, the one constant that always hold true with these wines is the remarkable value that they represent. Pays d’Oc wines, with their modernism and international tastes, are always among the favourites at cocktail parties for their easy-drinking nature, catchy packaging and unforgettable affordability while Languedoc wines are a regular hit amongst avid wine consumers, regularly scoring the title of “Wines That Taste Much More Expensive Than They Actually Are”. Discover the Languedoc Grands Crus, Languedoc Grands Vins and Languedoc AOC with this exciting initiative.
Languedoc and Pays d’Oc Wines invite all Vancouverites to step into their own neighbourhoods this month and join the celebration.
