VANCOUVER, British Columbia (January 19th, 2010) – Great wine, fantastic food, hundreds of revelers and all for a wonderful cause!
Liberty Merchant Company’s 16th Annual Taste BC 2010 drew hundreds of Vancouverites to the Hyatt Regency Hotel on January 19th to indulge in tastings from some of the finest restaurants, wineries, breweries and cheese purveyors in BC.
Liberty Wine Featured in EAT Magazine!
Three of Liberty’s delicious and value priced wines are featured in this month’s issue of EAT magazine. Our Vecchia Cantina Chianti, Domain de Grachies, and Domaine La Galine Minervois.
d’Arenberg is in the 120 top value Australian wines!
USA’s Wine Spectator has named their 120 Top Value Australian Wines and 6 are d’Arenberg wines which accounts for 5% of the total wines listed.
Multiple vintages of ‘d’Arry’s Original’ Shiraz Grenache and ‘The Footbolt’ Shiraz were included as well ‘The Stump Jump Red’ and ‘The Custodian’ Grenache.

Congratulations Winery of Good Hope 2008 Chenin Blanc!
Of more than 1140 wines in this year's Wine Access 2009 International Value Wine Awards competition, The Winery of Good Hope's Chenin Blanc was awarded Category Champion for Best Chenin Blanc.
This example is a wonderfully lively, fruity and beautifully balanced dry Chenin Blanc. With flavours of pears, sherbert and flint, there is plenty of leesy mouthfeel and juicy fruit, whilst finishing with a refreshing lime and mineral length. A true noble vareital, Chenin deserves to be taken seriously - even for everyday drinking wines such as this!

Liberty helps celebrate Capones Restaurant's Wine and Jazz Festival in Yaletown
Capones hosts two week Wine and Jazz Festival to commemorate new ownership.
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (April 14, 2009) - Starting April 15th through to May 1st, Capones Restaurant will be hosting their inaugural Wine and Jazz Festival, the first of many exciting upcoming events.
Five wine regions will be featured: Italy (April 15 - 18), France (April 19 - 21), Pacific Northwest (April 22 - 24), New World : Argentina , Chile , Australia , New Zealand & South Africa (April 25 - 27), Spain & Portugal (April 28 - May 1). Each region will be paired with a 4 course regionally-inspired menu.
The interactive and personal tasting experience will begin at 6pm every evening. Local wine agencies will showcase up to 12 different regional wines. Guests will have the opportunity to choose their 4 favorites to enjoy with their dinner.
Dinner will commence each evening at 7pm , complimented by some of the city's finest live jazz.

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (January 29, 2009) – Great wine, delectable food, hundreds of revelers and all for a wonderful cause.
That describes Taste BC 2009, Liberty Merchant Company’s second annual celebration of local flavours and the people who create them. The celebration of local food and drink brought together the elite in British Columbia’s food and beverage industry while also raising proceeds for the BC Children’s Hospital’s Oak Tree Clinic.
